Recommendations
to enhance the attendance at Saturday Events?
Ø later starting times
Ø I Think it might be we just have too
many events, but I
wouldn't change
that. The bottom line is that we provide opportunities for our members who want
to play. I still have fun in the event whether there are 12 guys or 36 guys.
The LDMGA is not hurt if a Saturday event is under attended.
Ø
I think the main problem is being adressed, nothing in the
clubhouse.
Ø Let players pick their partners more
often
Ø Advertise a quality course with
rewasonable costs
Ø Events are events, and many just
like to play their own game with their own crowd... tough one, but frankly, I
look forward to Dean's group on the Saturdays in between the events
Ø more pick your own partners
Ø enjoy Sat. events, just fine
Ø Play early and fast, threesomes
Ø tough one, consider dropping weekk day memberships, and pauing out in cash
instead of gift certificates
Ø Payouts cash not gift certificates
Ø No, other than all us to encourage
all members to play
Ø Only have 1 per month
Ø No
I usually play in all of them, except stableford
Ø May be able to play in a few
Ø "on Boarding" program
where long time members reach out to newer members to make them feel more
comfortable at events
Ø Make more avalible to non members
with USGA Handicaps
Ø Don't play most Saturday events.
Only Majors
Ø Cash payouts vs. certificates. Mandate faster play by invoking penalties
for slow play per club rules. Many
members skip events due to 5+ hr rounds.
Ø do not play as a weekday
player. The charge is more than off the
street pjlay
Ø Afternoon starts? Possible new
"Event Champion" points award category (sub classification just for
Sat tourneys)
Ø no.
saturdays are tough for me because of other commitments
Ø Maybe a couple afternoon events
Ø It might be nice to invite a guest
Ø Have cash prizes
Ø GIVE ALL PLAYERS FULL HANDICAP-LIKE
THE TUEDAY LEAGUE AND THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP-THE 2 EVENT'S WITH HIGH TURNOUT
