Lake Doster Men’s Golf Association Tuesday League

 

Eligibility: You must be a member of the LDMGA. League dues are $20 in addition to the regular LDMGA dues.

 

Schedule: The League will be played in 2 halves, 7 weeks in the first half and 7 weeks in the second half. The first League day will be May 10th. There will be no league play on June 28 and July 5. The second half starts on July 12. The last league day will be August 23.

 

Tee Times: Tee times will be blocked out for League Play between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. All members who wish to play before 4:00 pm must arrange their own tee times. The golf club management retains the right to schedule outside play on Tuesday before 4:00 pm. The league “nine” must be the first time that nine is played by a member on that day. Rain outs shall be determined by the pro shop based on 4:00 pm and later weather conditions.

 

Format: Individual using the net Stableford System. Play will be at full handicap following the Stableford Competitions rules as detailed by Rule 32-1b in the USGA “the Rules of Golf” booklet. The LDMGA has placed a special limit on Stableford points allowed for any individual to not exceed 23 points on any given league day. Point totals of 23 and higher will be considered as ties. Stableford points will be awarded for each holes net score versus par:

Play will be from the white tee markers except that members who are 70 years or older may choose to play from the gold (Senior) tees. Those who choose to play from the gold tees must subtract 3 strokes from their 18 hole gold tee handicap. Handicap strokes are allocated according to the hole-by-hole handicap on the scorecard. The hole-by-hole handicaps for the gold tees are different than those for the white tees. For this reason we will provide a special gold tee Stableford scorecard for league play.

 

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded for the weekly winners. Winners of each half will be determined by totaling a maximum of 5 scores for the seven weeks. The overall winners will be determined by totaling each participants first half score and their second half score (maximum of 5 scores for each half).

 sign up for the Tuesday League, and this chart may be updated later.

 

Special Events: Gross and net skins and weekly special events will also be available. To compete in these special events or skin games, you must be a member of the LDMGA Tuesday league.

Each player is responsible for accurately posting his Stableford score, skins and special events for the league. These must be submitted by Tuesday evening before the close of the pro shop. The player must also enter his score in the computer for handicap determination. The weekly two man team special events are optional. Sign up sheets will be in the pro shop. We will shift each week between:

  1. Pick your partner-two man total net Stableford
  2. Pick your partner-two man best ball net Stableford
  3. Blind Draw-two man total net Stableford.

Each special event will require an entry fee of $2.00 per player. Winners will be paid with cash as follows:

Ø  1st Place 50% of pot

Ø  2nd Place 30% of pot

Ø  3rd place 20% of pot.

Ø  All ties will be determined by tiebreaker

 

The Tuesday League Committee of Dennis Carman, Don Ampersee and Dave Fortune will determine winners of the League play and the “Special Events”. The Pro Shop will determine winners and administer skins competition.
