Tuesday League
Bloody Mary Scramble
Was delayed by frost, but evolved into great conditions. Fifty golfers attended. The event was preceded by a General Meeting of the members and potential members. The winners had a net score of 57. Second place was 58.

Saturday Event Tournament- April 21
Another frost delay with cold conditions brought out 28 fearless golfers. The two man best ball format, resulted in Bryan Gonzalez and Gene McDonald as winners. They had a net score of 65.Second place a tie at 67 was Bill Mason/Greg DeWard and Marlin Kleckner/Tom VanHerweg

Saturday Event Tournament- May 12
The field of 32 shrank to 18 as thunderstorms passed thru the area. The 18 players played thru light rain in a 4 man event, best 4 of 4 on par 3's; best 3 of 4 on par 4's; and best 2 of 4 on par 5's. The team of Scott Cool; Dan Conway; Bryan Gonzalez; and Dean McBeth won at 193. Second place at 196 was Bob Sursely; Eriks Kildiss; and Dave Fortune. All players dried out and enjoyed a robust celebration in honor of Bryan Gonzalez's Hole in One. Eriks Kildiss ran the event.

In the Saturday Event on May 12, 2012 on hole number 12, in a light rain, Bryan Gonzalez pulls out one of his newly acquired golf balls which are inscribed:
"Bryan Gonzalez
Lake Doster
Get in the Hole!!!!"
He promptly lofts his tee shot pass the hole, spins it back and drops it for the first LDMGA Member Hole in One of 2012. In the traditional celebration afterwards, witnesses Dan Conway; Scott Cool; and Dean McBeth recall the joyfull bear hug each recieved as it was Bryan's first ever Hole in One!!
Saturday Event Tournament- June 9
The field of 28 enjoyed excellent playing conditions. The format was"Progressive" featuring 4 man teams that counted two of four on holes 1 thru 6; counted three of four on holes 7-12; and counted four of four on holes 13 thru 18.   At 206 in first place was the team of Chad Gaston; Dan Conway; Bill Rhodes; and Ivan Henman.  At 208 in second place was the team of Scott Cool; Steve Sleeman; Dean McBeth; and Brewce Larkin. In third place at 209 was Pete Torres; Greg Deward; Hank Norton; and Don Meitz.  Pete Torres and Scott Cool ran the event.
Saturday Event Tournament- May 26
The field of 27 endured rain once again. The wet conditions allowed for precision shooting as the format was Birdies or Better. One point for Net Birdie and three for Net Eagle.  At 20 points was a first place tie between the team of: Bill Mason; Mike Rabe; Bud Jensen; David McDonald and the team of Bob Sursley; Steve Sleeman; Bryan Gonzalez; Jerry Bray. Pete Torres ran the event.
Special Tuesday Event- June 26
The format was best two balls of four and 50 golfers were in the field. In first place at 124 was the team of Tom Morin; Gary Stewart; Keith Bartlam and Bart Hartson. Second place at 125 was Bob Sursely; Dan Conway; Bill Stephenson; and Dan Bird. third place at 127 was Ken Pace; Bill Mason; John Light and Gene Watson.  In fourth place at 128 was Reed Nielsen; Steve Sleeman; Bob Peterson; and Bill Riggin.  The event was run by Dennis Carman and John Light.
Dave DeWeerd Records Hole in One- July 22
Dave DeWeerd joins Dick Nowling and Bryan Gonzalez in achieving the 3rd ace of 2012 by an LDMGA member. Witnesses Gordy Peterson and Dan Conway report that Hole #3 on a bright Sunday morning was the setting for the very rare "slam dunk" style hole in one ....whereas the ball lands on the fly on the edge of the hole and stays in. It seems Dan Conway is the guy to play with as he also witnessed the first hole in one of 2012 by Bryan Gonzalez........
Saturday Event Tournament- July 28
The field of 24 were hosted by Billy Martin and Andy Kristen in the "Pink Ball" format. Four of the six teams successfully navigated the course with the certified pink ball and were awarded with a 2 stroke reduction of there score. The reduction was from the best three of four ball team score.  At 201 in first place was the team of Pete Torres; Rick Riggin; Bud Jensen; and Jerry Bray.  At 203 in second place was a tie between the team of Dan Conway; Steve Sleeman; Dean McBeth and Dick Bryck, and the team of Chad Gaston; Billy Martin; Fred Anderson; and Don Meitz.

Presidents Cup August 11 & 12
The 36 hole Tournament started with wet conditions on Saturday and mild and perfect weather on Sunday. The field was seperated into a Medal play from the blue tees and net Stableford from the white tees, at 100% handicap. The winner of the Medal play was Larry Stratton at 163. Second was Pete Torres at 168. Third was Jim Fodell at 171.
The winner of the Stableford competition was Dave Fortune with 74 points. Second was Ivan Henman with 73 points. Third was Bryan Gonzalez with 72 points. A total of 29 players participated. The event was run by Rick Zane, Craig Wagner, Mike Hills, and Eriks Kildiss.

Member- Member- August 25 & 26
Arguably the biggest event of the year was enjoyed by 50 members. The event was run flawlessly, led by LDMGA Board Members Tom Vanherweg; Dennis Carman; Jack Kellogg;and Larry MacDonald. Many thanks to volunteers  Brewce Larkin, and Eriks Kildiss.
Overall Event Champions were Larry Stratton and Gary Stewart; 2nd Jim Fodell and Paul Murray; 3rd Steve Hendeerson and Larry MacDonald; 4th Hank Norton and George Dunn; 5th Fred Greaves and Dan Bird.

In Saturdays 2 man best ball the winners at 60 were Hank Norton and George Dunn. 2nd was Larry Stratton and Gary Stewart; 3rd was Fred Greaves and Dan Bird; 4th Jim Gesmundo and Eriks Kildiss; and 5th Jim Fodell and Paul Murray.
On Sunday, the event was 2 man combined net score. First at 137 was Larry MacDonald and Steve Henderson. 2nd was Jim Fodell and Paul Murray; 3rd was Larry Stratton and Gary Stewart; 4th Tim VanBruggen and Bill Rhodes, and 5th Andy Kristen and Dave Fortune.

Joey The Jet Derby
Thirty one teams competed over two grueling days, and Brent Wieber and Mike Rabe came out on top with a best ball score of 124. Low score for Friday was  Brent Wieber & Mike Rabe. On Saturday, low score was  Tom VanHerweg & Jolie Allen after a three hole playoff.
Snooty Snotty- August 28
The field of 56 were hosted by Phil Baker. The Snottys triumphed, led by Jack Kellogg and Dick Bryck. Leading the Snootys was Paul Murray and Jolie Allen.

Saturday Event -September 8
Twenty four members participated in a Round Robin match play format. The winner with 13 points was Alan Awe. Second with 12 points was Larry Stratton. Tied in third at 111/2 points was Pete Torres and Todd Reynolds. The event was ran by Dave Fortune.

Overall Winner: Gary Stewart with 204 points; 2nd tie Don Ampersee and Don Meitz at 201 points; 3rd tie Casey Jones and Dave Witvoet at 99 Points
First Half Winner: Bill Rhodes with 104 points; 2nd David McDonald; 3rd  tie Don Ampersee;  Larry MacDonald; and Steve Henderson.
Second Half Winner: Gary Stewart with 106 points; 2nd Don Meitz; 3rd tie Dean McBeth and Steve Sleeman.

Saturday 9/22/2012.....Paul Mulka is a late entrant in the washed out Saturday Event...He eases up to hole #3 and lofts a perfect shot, 2 bounces and in the hole for his first ever Ace!! Witnesses Dave DeWeerd and Bryan Gonzalez welcome him to the 2012 Hole In One Club. Dave Fortune was also present.

Tin Cup Challenge VS The Lynx Golf Club
Captain Larry Stratton led the team to victory while playing in perfect conditions on September 29 & 30. The teams of 16 played Saturday at The Lynx and Sunday at LDGC. The teams enjoyed a steak dinner on Sunday.

Fall Classic October 6 & 7
The format was 2 man teams in four 9 hole events. Best Ball then Net on Saturday with 11 golfers and Net then Best Ball on Sunday with 13 golfers. Saturday winners front 9 was Dennis Carman and Bryan Gonzalez and back 9 was Larry Stratton and Ken Pace. On Sunday the front was Dean McBeth and Larry Stratton and the back was Greg Deward and Fred Greaves. John Light and Dennis Carman ran the event.
