About 50 men attended the meeting, and weather reduced the field of Bloody Mary participants to 27. The race was tight and three teams tied for first at 61, and three tied at 62. Joey the Jet- May 3 and 4
Hank Norton and George Dunn had the low score both days and swept the field with a 5 stroke victory. In second was the Vanbruggen duo of Del and Tim at 126. Third was Mike Lee and Brewce Larkin at 127. At 128 there was a tie for fourth between the teams of Tony Mitchell/Chad St. Clair and Jim Fodell/Paul Murray.
Round Robin Match Play was the format for the Shotgun Start Event. The field of 45 enjoyed nice weather and good course conditions. Herb Ayres won the event with 12.5 points. A four way tie for second was Steve Henderson; Hank Norton; Jim Gesmundo; and Dick Nowling. Tied for 6th was Bill Rhodes and Tim VanBruggen.
Saturday Event July 27
Bill Reppenhagen blew away the field of 20 with 17 points in the Birdies or Better format. Second place was Dennis Carman with 13 points; third was Del VanBruggen with 10 points and 4th was Dan Conway with 9 points.
Larry Stratton successfully defended his crown in the Blue Tee Medal Play by shooting 75/75. Bryan Gonzalez dominated the Stableford Format competition with a 13 point margin of victory by scoring 88 points.
